Johannes Hospice Münster
The Johannes Hospice Muenster was opened in 1999 as an institution with Christian organisation. This is because supporting and caring for people at the end of their life is a clear and important part of the Christian spirit and belief. This is also shown by supporting and caring for everyone according to their own needs and wishes, regardless of their religious beliefs, social status or nationality. The Johannes Hospice Muenster closely follows the ideas of Cicely Saunders, the founder of the modern hospice movement.
We wish to give the people who come to us for help the chance to make the rest of their life worth living. For us, it is not about adding more days to the life but putting more life into the days. The people who spend the last part of their life with us should feel that they are important to us up to the very last moment. That is why we do our best to ensure that the residents of our hospice are not only able to die peacefully but also to live in dignity until the end.
A short description follows of each department and its area of specialisation and service. The four main departments of the Johannes Hospice are all described in more detail with images on the German pages.
